HI! I'm Jodi. I have had the privilege of assisting midwives and the families they serve here in our community for nearly 3 years. I sometimes can't believe how lucky I am to be in a position that allows me to share in the happy, powerful, and peaceful energy that surrounds a woman as she gives birth. It's an honor to be there with the family as they welcome their newest member. Helping the midwife in making sure that everyone is content, comfortable, and safe is much more than just a job, it's a blessing.

I was born in St. Pete and raised right here. I sure do like the mountains though! I met my husband, Marcus, 13 years ago on a camping trip in Ocala. We have 3 beautiful babies (well once upon a time they were babies anyway), 2 girls (11 & 9), and one ROWDY boy (5). When I was pregnant with my first I was drawn to midwifery mainly due to a fear of being separated from my baby. As I began my care, however, I was knocked out by the time and attention we were given. I was educated about every aspect of my new role as a pregnant woman and eminent mom. I felt so prepared and comfy about the changes to come. My husband was also supported and encouraged and the birth was definitely OUR birth. I knew for sure I had made the right decision and that all my future babies would be born with the love and assistance of midwives (and they were).

I think you are very wise for considering midwifery care for the birth of your baby. And if you decide (or have already decided) to allow us to spend this very important time with you ...... then I can't wait to meet ya !!
