I started working at Rosemary Birthing Home in September of 2004. I was to answer the phones, greet the patients, make tea and tidy up the waiting room. I took over this position from Colleen who was about to have her baby, Ivy, and from Maggie before that. Heidi needed help running the birthing home because she was pregnant with Iris. Mary had had her baby, Adrian, with Heidi. I had previously run Mary's sister's art business, so she had recommended me to Heidi. My job has blossomed into the administrator, so now Tami is doing what I did when I started. A circle has been completed.

I am a registered nurse with experience in intensive care, operating room, general practice and pediatrics. I became a full time mom when my husband, Michael, and I adopted our son Matthew, twenty five years old, and our daughter Michele, twenty two years old. I have volunteered over the years at school, church and in the community. The moms who have their babies at Rosemary Birthing Home have allowed me to experience the pregnancy I never had. Another circle has been completed.

I am also a grandma to Eli Cullison Isbell. My daughter was pregnant in Germany, so I went to childbirth education classes here for her. Both Heidi and Sarah let me be their birth assistant at several births to prepare me for Eli's birth. I was there for Michele's labor and delivery on February 13, 2006. And another circle has been completed.

And now, Heidi is a full time mom and Harmony has come to Rosemary Birthing Home..............and the circle continues.
